Lambchop, there's nothing I want from you except your life...

— Freddy speaking to Millie

Funtime Freddy, also known as Grayscale Funtime Freddy, is the minor antagonist of The Fourth Closet and Room for One More and the major antagonist in Fazbear Frights: Into the Pit's third story, Count the Ways. He serves as the alternate counterpart of Funtime Freddy and Yenndo from Sister Location and a secondary mascot at Circus Baby's Pizza World.

Appearance[]

The Fourth Closet[]

Funtime Freddy's design seems to be based on prototype's designs with the white color scheme with pink accents.

His head appears to be squarish and less bulky than Withered Freddy's. He has a pink color on his stomach with four buttons, shoulders, elbows, knees, insides of his ears, cheeks, thighs, knuckles from his right hand, and the top areas from both feet. Like the other animatronics, he has faceplates that can pop open. For some unknown reason, he has double faceplates. It seems as if he is the only animatronic to have two sets of faceplates.

In his left hand, he holds a microphone. unlike every other Freddy, and similar to Circus Baby. And unlike his canon counterpart, the Bonnie Hand Puppet (which resembles Classic Bonnie and Toy Bonnie) doesn't replace his right hand.

Like Funtime Foxy, Funtime Freddy has a small, round speaker in the middle of his chest. He also has a black bowtie right under his chin, a black circle on the back of his hand and two black buttons on his stomach.

Funtime Freddy stands at a height of 6.0 ft and weighs 350 lbs.

Into the Pit[]

Funtime Freddy's endoskeleton resembling his game counterpart's. His suit itself is described as withering, its white and pink color fading off into a dingy gray. He wears a top hat and tie, and his limbs are unhinged.

Room for One More[]

In Room for One More, he's described as animatronic cartoony bear wearing a top hat and a bow tie. He has blank bulging eyes, and his face can open like a door, revealing hideous metallic skull, made out of snaking wires and cables.

History[]

Five Nights at Freddy's Novel Series[]

The Fourth Closet[]

Freddy is first seen in Chapter 12 hunting Marla and Carlton in a mirror maze in Circus Baby's Pizza. Despite not being able to see them, due to the earpieces they wore that make them invisible to all animatronics, Freddy apparently hears them walking around, allowing him to stay aware of their whereabouts.

Later on, he had stuffed himself into a cubbyhole in the Hide and Seek Hallway to catch Carlton off guard, for he was no longer wearing his earpiece. John tricks him to go under the carousel and turns it on. Freddy is crushed and destroyed by the machine. Near the end of the novel, a mechanical mutilation Freddy grabs on to William's leg, which in response William breaking his jaw ever more.

As Mangle and a mechanical mutilation Freddy attacked William Afton, along with the Baby Crawlers attacking him until the molten remains of the original animatronics rose off the table, and dragging him to a furnace, where William Afton was burned to death, killing him and freeing Michael and the other children's souls.

Fazbear Frights[]

Into the Pit[]

Funtime Freddy is the main antagonist of the third story, Count the Ways. It's described how once he was pink and white, but now he's just very rusty, a reference to his counterpart Molten Freddy from the game.

At an unknown date, Funtime Freddy was abandoned in a scrapyard, for what he claims were "ages". Eventually, he was taken by Millie's grandfather into his garage, where he makes sure Funtime Freddy remains activated. After an unknown amount of time, Millie decides to climb into Funtime Freddy's torso on Christmas Eve. She hides inside of him to escape the Christmas party her family's having, and Funtime Freddy sets his sights on her, rolling his eyes to peer inside. He claims to know about Millie's infatuation with death and dying, offering to end her life whichever way she chooses, in what he calls a mutually beneficial arrangement. Millie states she doesn't really want to die, but Funtime Freddy laughs it off.

Funtime Freddy begins to list the many ways he could kill her, starting with the suggestion of starving her to death. Millie considers this method, reasoning she could scream for help, but the animatronic replies that his insides are soundproof. He suggests turning off the heaters in his system, freezing Millie to death, but discards the idea as her grandfather checks him often. He also suggests impaling Millie on one of his endoskeleton's metal rods, filling himself with water and boiling it, and decapitation on a thin, sharp, metal piece inside him. He goes into excruciating detail over each procedure, even citing historical events and persons related to some murder methods. During his explanations, Funtime Freddy shows extensive knowledge about many aspects of Millie's life and reveals his reason to want to murder her being his boredom.

Millie believes she can dodge the blade and sneak out of Funtime Freddy, so she chooses decapitation. Funtime Freddy happily accepts, as it is the one method he hasn't tried before. As he prepares to kill her, she attempts to open his stomach hatch and leave, but he looks back inside before. Millie asks for a countdown, so the animatronic bear acts out a French Revolution-like execution scene, blaming her for "crimes against humanity", these being her general rudeness and ungratefulness. Counting to three in French, Funtime Freddy releases the blade from his stomach as Millie prepares to dodge as well as she can. As revealed later, Millie's attempt was futile as Funtime Freddy was succeeded in killing her.

1:35 AM[]

Funtime Freddy returns in Room for One More as a minor antagonist, in Stanley's dream. In the dream, after losing power at the underground facility only to find it is pitch black. He eventually finds his security office, and upon entering, shines his flashlight on him in the corner. Funtime Freddy opens up his face plates and lunges at him.

Trivia[]

  • On the cover of The Fourth Closet, Funtime Freddy is strangely colored black and white, as opposed to his tints of purple and white.
    • However, the book describes him as having purplish-white colors like his game-counterpart.
  • Strangely, when he is destroyed by the carousel, it says that a yellow eye falls out. However, in the poster, Funtime Freddy is seen with his usual blue eyes.
    • Due to lacking his Bon-Bon hand puppet, as well as being said to have yellow eyes, it's possible he could be related to Yenndo from Sister Location.
  • Although not confirmed in Count the Ways where Funtime Freddy kills Millie, it is most likely that he did, as seen in the end Millie doesn't seem to appear or respond when her grandfather calls her.
